Description
The Unitree R1-A7 Smart G is the R1-A7 dual-arm humanoid in its Smart G package: seven-joint arms and a head built for interaction, on a fixed base. The head carries a four-microphone array, two 3 W speakers and a binocular camera, and its 2-DOF neck pans ±115° and tilts ±36°, so it can be programmed to turn towards a speaker and look at what the arms are handling.
That combination suits interactive exhibits, reception and teaching settings, and human-robot interaction research: voice commands, spoken explanations while the arms work, and shared tasks across a table. Unitree fits a voice interaction system, and the head computer, with an 8-core CPU and 10 TOPS of AI compute, handles vision and audio while a second 8-core CPU in the body runs the arms. The arms are strong, and Unitree requires a sufficient safety distance between people and the robot, so any interaction setup has to plan for that separation.
Smart G is one of eight R1-A7 Smart packages, A to H, built on this robot and sold as separate packages; its end effector (two-finger gripper, three-finger or five-finger dexterous hand), any wrist camera and any high-computing module are itemised on the quotation. There is also an R1-A5 Smart G, which is the five-joint robot with its own package.
Mechanically it is the standard R1-A7: two 7-DOF arms with 555 mm of forearm and upper arm, 2–4 kg of payload per arm depending on posture, a waist that turns ±150°, about 13 kg and 835 × 357 × 190 mm, with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
